Again, not very difficult to find if you look for the information
i dont want to populate the drop down list.
All i want is that the drop down lost box shows a value from the databse of a particular person.
eg. i want to update the state of residence of an employee.. on the update page.. the drop down shud show selected state.. the user is allowed to change the state...
i hope i m clear now.

Hi there,
You guys realy helped me last time in deploying FCKGrid.
Now again i m facing an issue, i have set these properties of fckeditor, to
view my images folder which lies in root directory.
basepath="~/FCKeditor/"
ImageBrowserURL="../../../images/"
LinkBrowserURL="../../../."
Can anyone help me out, with correct syntax how i can get my uploading of images workin, and preview as well.
Now when i select the image from image folder, and click on send to server,
it does nothing.

I'm having a problem displaying a Label control in a FormView which is within an UpdatePanel. The Label displays fine if the FormView is moved out of the UpdatePanel.
I'm getting the error:
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled.
which I know is an Ajax error. I'm running Ajax 1.0
I see that quite a lot of people are experiencing the same error but so far none for the
same reason as me.

I am using login status and login control. but the problem when I am clicking log off it get log out but clicking on back button it again enter to site insted of showing login page but after refreshing get resolved.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody knows of a way to convert something like an .avi file into a flash file from a command line, so that a background process can do it after someone has uploaded a file to a web server, without user interaction via an interface.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Then that is what you should have written.
Seriously though, have you googled for samples. I can think of several reference samples that are available along with source code. MS has released several and they are probably as good a place as any to start.
the last thing I want to see is some pasty-faced geek with skin so pale that it's almost translucent trying to bump parts with a partner - John Simmons / outlaw programmer

Are u sure that it is *.vsi file the one i have is a zip file.
