Hi,
First try to catch the Exception.
catch(System.threading.threadabortexception page1)
{
Console.Writeline(page1.Message);
}
Happy Coding

As per MSDN documentation Redirect calls End which raises a ThreadAbortException exception upon completion.
Try using Response.Redirect("page.aspx", false)
only two letters away from being an asset

As you know that the DataView allows you creating a view of data stored in a table, in the case of two or more tables you can set up a relation between the tables and create a child view to filter the child table.

String files[] = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\My Directory", "*.txt", SearchOption.AllDirectories);

I am creating an asp.net site using vb.net.
For some reason I occasionally get code shown on a page instead of the page itself. By
'code', I mean the contents of the Page_Load from the page's corresponding code file.
I sometimes also seem to be seeing the contents of the resx file being displayed.
The website works fine on my local system - I only see the problem when I upload it.
What could be causing this ?
|
|
|
|
|
may be the reason is that IIS is not registered with ASP.NET. you can run aspnet_regiis.exe for registering.

Hi friends,
Can anyone help me in finding out a suitable algorith which will create distinct cipher each time?
For example if I give Encrypt(5)and if I get value s 2
when I give next time Encrypt(5) I should not get 2, I have an application where values can be {1,2,3,4,5}, I dont want to store it plain text in DB, if I encrypt, I have to make sure by any chance one who enter into DB can compare the encrypted values and reach in conclusions, is it possible by any means to avoid it?, I should be able to decrypt also, through program, I mean encrypt with respect to time or anything?
Thanks in advance!!!
Cheers

Dear All,
How can database schema handle the multi-user environment and Synchronizationin webservices.
Thanks

In my asp.net 1.1 application i have 4 ListBoxes i.e., Category1, Category2, Category3, Category4.
if u select Category1, it will finds from DB and populates in Category2 ListBox. liket this i am populating Category4.
Here Each Category is having CategoryName, CategoryID and its languageid(each category is having each languageid).
I want to avoid the DataBase Trip each time.
My question is how to cache the whole data & How to retrieve the data from cached. We can store in 4 different Sessions also. but in which format to store(it is having name, value1, value2)
How to do this? anybody give me the solution for this.
?

Create a datatable, pump the data in that and then put that datatable in session in order to reuse it.

Or save it all on the client side (if you don't like your users) in javascript array - this way you can use script to populate the listboxes at runtime, avoiding postbacks.

There are a number of ways that you can attack this problem. The correct solution depends entirely on the nature of your application. Our developers usually create some sort of "Cached Items" class that manages data within a cache. If your data set isn't too large, you may want to store all of the unfiltered data in a single data set and use the DataRelation to define the relationship among the tables in the DataSet used to populate your ListBoxes. Whenever a list box is changed, use the relationships defined in your filter the data as needed and rebind the filtered data to the list boxes.
For example, you could so something like this:
intenal static DataSet Categroies<br />
{<br />
get<br />
{ <br />
DataSet data = HttpContext.Current.Session["CategoryData"] As DataSet;<br />
if(data == null)<br />
{<br />
data = <br />
HttpContext.Current.Session["CategoryData"] = data;<br />
}<br />
return data;<br />
}<br />
}<br />
<br />
internal static GetCategory2Data(string category1)<br />
{<br />
DataView category2 = Categories.Tables["Category2"].DefaultView;<br />
category2.RowFilter = string.Format("Category1 = {0}",category1);<br />
return category2;<br />
} <br />
Here data is being stored in the session. You could also use the Application or Cache object to store the data globally so long as you account for multi-threaded/multi-user access into account.
