This is not related to ASP.NET. You may like to post it in Lounge.

You may like to check out with your host if they provide some sort of control panel to manage your website.

Hi ,
I am doing a website that shows one word document to everyone. If the users open that and would like to edit the information they can edit. But when they go to save button and saves it, it must be changed on the website such that the users who browses the website can view that............
Can anyone provide me the necessary code for saving the document at the server side.
Thanks in Advance

I am using VS2008 on SQL 2005.
Forms are late bound (code behind gets the data table and serves it to the form)
Gridview questions.
1.
Is it possible to present a Gridview where 1 column (the last one) is editable by default. updates to the database will be done when the user clicks the forms Update button.
2.
Is it possible to have sub totals by groups within a Gridview.
3.
Assumes 2 is negative.
I know of 2 ways to do the sub totalling, manual HTML grids and nested gridviews in a repeater/gridview.
Why not a user control that accepts a filtered dataview for each group. I like this idea as it strikes me as more elegant than the nested solutions.
Look forward to your ideas!

Yes it is possible to present a Gridview where a column is editable by default. You can use a template field to display the data in a textbox and when the form is submitted loop through the gridview rows, check for changes and update the database accordingly.
I have written an article which deals with editing individual gridview cells[^], it may also give you some ideas.

You can use a Web IDE called Html Kit (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/[^])
This is a freeware download and supports a little Color Picker/Web Safe Color Palette etc.

Please don't double-post. You only asked your original question yesterday. You should be prepared to wait several days for an answer. After all, you're not paying anyone for their help.

Then he won't be able to access session. He don't want to expire the session, not disabling.

You can increase the session time out limit in web.config file. It won't help you much. I presume you are trying to implement "Remember me next time" kind of stuff ? If so use cookies to store that information and create session each time.
