Hi,
I have created a web service..its working fine when i debug it.
""" I have given a brief description so please read this and tell me where i went wrong """
i have changed the project folder's web sharing tab there i have checked the Share this folder radio button given a alias name with full permissions then clicked ok..so it has been added into the IIS
Then i created another application in which i tried to access the web service ..
For this i right clicked references then web references, There i choosen web service on local machine so i got list of all the web services available ..then i have chosen the service which i created ...so a error came " Failed to map the path/service1/App_GlobalResources/.

Then debug it more, as it works fine when you do so.

Hi,
In a web site I want to disallow users to give absolute addresses in the address bar for accessing web pages. Let me illustrate with an example. Suppose my website has three webpages login.aspx,a.aspx, and b.aspx
I do not want the users to navigate to a.aspx or b.aspx by giving the following url in the address bar
http://www.mywebsite.com/a.aspx
or
http://www.mywebsite.com/b.aspx
Login.aspx is the startup page of the website. They should be able to access this web pages only if they have logged in.
Regards
Vinod

There are SO many articles online about this. Basically, the way to do it by hand is to derive all pages that require login from a base page that checks a session variable to see if the user is logged in. Set that variable when the user logs in, and clear it when they log out. Done.

Never use the design view. Write code instead.
I've created a page with two frames, I made a HTML file that loads the frames and the frames were aspx files. The two frames load in design view no problems ( although again, I never, ever use it, I just checked for you )

You can also use divs and position them relative to each other.

you can also use master page for this purpose

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Attributes on class methods ? Attributes in XML nodes ?

You can put them anywhere that you want to use a get and set.

Can anyone tel me Advantages of Delegates, where and when we can use these Delegates

google sure can.
The only place I would use them in ASP.NET is to get a control to talk to it's containing page. They have far more uses in winforms than in ASP.NET.

Create a checkbox or radio button in your template for the column. Write javascript that opens a new page, and pass information on that URL so the new page knows what it should open.

I need to create a blog site. For storing the member information and messages, which data storage is more suitable (an Access database or XML).
Can any one tell in which cotext both are used?

Both of these options will have issues if you have more than one user online at once. XML is the simplest format, best for simple data. An Access DB may be enough to store a blog.

Hello, I am trying to make read-only my form's input text box and input radiobutton. I made text box read-only using:
txtBox1.Attributes.Add("ReadOnly", "ReadOnly"); and this works.
However, same does not work for radiobutton. I tried:
radioButton1.Attributes.Add("Disabled", "Disabled");
But this disables (greys out) the radiobutton and I don't want that. Due to some limitations, I cannot use asp.net radiobutton control. Please suggest how I can make html input radiobutton read-only without disabling it. Appreciate any help! Thanks.

If the ASP.NET control does what you want, set it up in a page, see how it does it, and copy the markup.
I don't think you can make a HTML radio button read only without disabling it, the best you could do is handle the click event and reject it. onclick="return false;" or perhaps onclick="this.checked= true; return false;"
