Hi All,
I created a new site, got the domain set up, created the new entry in IIS for the site, set the ASP.NET tab under properties to version 2, but when I try to browse the site it is giving the following error in the application event log
It is not possible to run two different versions of ASP.NET in the same IIS process. Please use the IIS Administration Tool to reconfigure your server to run the application in a separate process.
I'm not an IIS guru, so any help will be appreciated

The error message is exactly what it says it is, you have two instances of the framework running it looks like.
Check that no beta versions are installed

Can you only have DotNET1.1 or DotNet2 on a server, not both?

If you are trying to debug your application and unable to connect to the web host server. Check if all the sessions are visible in the process window. Make sure you have set Debug="True" in the web.config file.
Finally cross check if you are running a website and have admin previleges.

Grid view gets rendered as table. Get the ID of the rendered gridview and in the onclick event of the radio button set the 'display' attribute of the table to none or block...use javascript to do this

You can make AJAX calls via javascript.

In my ASP .Net web application, the customer has the following requirement. Whenever user tries to close the browser by using the X at the top (the hard close), I want to throw a message popup to user saying that they have not logged out of the application. Are you sure to close? And I want to give them Yes/No options so that if they click on yes, I will let them close otherwise the browser stays open. How can I acheive this?

follow the steps
step1 - In HTML body tag add event onbeforeunload = "CloseX();"
step2 - In HTML header tag add the following Script function.
function CloseX()
{
if(event.clientY < 0 && event.clientX > 100)
{
event.returnValue = "Are you sure to close window?";
}
}
If you use master page add these two steps to master page only.

Hi all,
I am displaying a list of Image thumbnails in a datalist control.
I'm creating the data souce in codebehind (C#) then binding it to my datalist.
The datasource is retieving a list of thumbnail names (strings) from my SQL dB.
This is roughly what my ItemTemplate looks like:(It works fine in IE)
<ItemTemplate>
<a href="linktomypage">
<img src="..\image\<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ImageThumbStr") %>" alt="" border="0" />
</a><br />
</ItemTemplate>
This dislays the image as intended in IE but in Firefox, Opera etc. it displays no image. If I put just the text in there (no img tag) it displays that fine.
When I view source code in FF it shows in there the completed img tag with the correct path, but nothing appears on the page?
Is there something obvious I am missing? The databiding for the control is happening on page load.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Try displaying the image outside of the link tags and see if that works

Yes,
I have tried that and got the same result, I have tried doing it ousite of the Datalis too in an ASP:Image tag. The image needs to be written to a control from the codebehind idealy.
If you have any suggestions it would be appreciated, I shall keep looking, just hope its not me being stupid...
