I'm not sure how this is related to asp.net but never mind
you need to delete your cache, something like tools - internet options and you will find it there

how should i do it programatically

You can't do that using ASP.NET. You would need the user to download an application and start it on the client computer.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

I have an ASP.NET.2 page which is performing massive inserts into a SQL 2005 database. The whole application (Code & Database) is set up on a hosted website. If I run it from my office, all runs OK, however when the user runs it (from another site) I get the following issue.
Sys.Webforms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned saw: 12152
We are both using the same version of IE6. Why would one instance fall over and the other be successful.
Can someone please help, as this is supposed to be a live application.

The ObjectContainerDataSource is a new WebControl in the Web Client Software Factory. It allows you to design nice MVC code. Check it out if you do not know what it is.
Here is my question for someone that knows a bit about it:
Is there any way I can get the current Instance being displayed by the DataBound COntrol (say a DetailsView)?
For example, when the Deleted Event is fired I can access the Instance through the ObjectContainerDataSourceStatusEventArgs (like: e.Instance)
How can I get this Instance without having to fire a fake Deleted method?

Hi,
You can call Window.Close() in OnClientClick , This will close current window.( If it is popup this will close popup window)
|
|
|
|
|
I don't know if that's your problem, but I remember that I was struggling few years ago with something similar. The headache was caused by the fact that postback in modal window doesn't really work as expected. The workaround was to do all the popup window eventhandling on clientside with javascript, or, better solution, have a iframe in your popup window and load your aspx page into that iframe.
It is possible that your problem is something different, I just wanted to mention that this can be the case

currently i m using asp.net with C# (.net 2005,2.0 framework)
here i have a string and i would like to delete all words following by a specified word.
For example:
string a="The code project website is more and more famous";
i would like to delete all the words after the "is" and store in the same 'a' string. so the resultant should be of..
a="The code project website"
how to implement this.. help me - KARAN
|
|
|
|
|
string a = "The code project website is blah blah blah...";
int index = a.IndexOf("is");
int startIndex = 0;
int length = index + 1;
a.Substring(startIndex, length);
|
|
|
|
|
That will find any occurrence is is, so for an initial string string of "This is my house", you will only get "Th" returned. You need to include the spaces around 'is', and your length is to long:
int index = a.IndexOf("is");
int startIndex = 0;
int length = index; You want to stop just before <code>index</code>, as <code>index</code> is the first character of the string you want to remove.

string a = txtContX.Text;
int index = a.IndexOf("is"); // gets the index of 'is'.
int startIndex = 0;
int length = index; //the length of the string
txtContY.Text=a.Substring(startIndex, length);//returns the new string...
Thanks a lot friends!

Hi all
I am displaying a report in a web application and i want when printing the report to set the layout to Landscape automatically without the user changing the properties of the printer each time. Is there a script or css that can do this change?
