Hi Paul Conrad
Thank you very much for your quick answer.
I want a sample or a predefined project so I can change for my system. I don't want to do a project from the zero point and I need some idea for desinging the database and the website work with this database.the important thing of the project is the large amount of this organization (above 1000 persons) may be you can introduce me a company or a person do something like this.
thnak you again

You want most of the work done for you. Perhaps you should have bid higher on rentacoder, so you could afford to give people the custom solution they asked for.

hello every one..
i have 2 datalist:
datalist1 contain button and datalist2
i want when i click button, it will hide the datalist2 content,
if i click again, it will show datalist2 content again...etc..
i want it's not refresh the page when i click the button like in this forum, when we click the thread title, it will display the content directly without refresh the page..
i am using javascript like this:
function temp(datalist2)
{
document.getElementById(datalist2).style.display = document.getElementById(datalist2).style.display=='block'?'none':'block';
}
but it seems the id of datalist2 can not be detected. how to declare the id of datalist2 in datalist1?
thx..

You seem to be confused about server and client scope. your C# variables do not exist in javascript, you need to pass the client side id through to javascript by emitting some script from your code behind.
datalist2.ClientID ( assuming your variables are really this badly named ) will give you the client side id you want to pass through.

how to input datalist2 from this vb code to javascript?

Do precisely what I said. Emit javascript along the lines of var theId = ' and then the ClientID, and then don't forget to close quotes and add a ;. Then use that variable name to access the id in question throughout your script.

we are a team of web designers and asp.net programmers who are in an urgent need to create a personnel/medical/dental info website for a big organization such as an army. We want to implement a solution for storing all the personnel info and the work flow of this organization on this website.
We need this website to have various reporting tools and outputs.
Also please advise if there is any predefined application for this purpose.
|
|
|
|
|
It'll be better to go to Client to ask their requirements (can be in iterative mode).When it'll be freezed then it'll be easy to map it into implementaion(as well as existing applications)
Cheers!!

Don't bid for jobs on rentacoder if you have no idea what you are doing.

Well, you better get your butt in gear and get working on it. If you think people are going to just hand you over some serious code base to start off with, you came to the wrong place
As I already mentioned to you in your other inquiry, gather the client requirements, design the system based on what they need, and take it from there.

Why didn't you tell the client you're clueless so real programmers could get paid to do it?

I recommend reading the guide on how to post. Everyone here wants some help.
You need to track who is logged in, if you don't do that, what's the use of a login ? Then, add a timeout for people who turn off the browser without logging out.

You can do one thing:
When a user login first time, make a entry for the same in database and when logout delete that entry.Now after login once if user try again check the entry in database if found then show a message.

That's kind of what I said, except just doing what you said, only works if the users ALWAYS explicitly log out.
