Are you just plain stupid ? You do NOT have server side variables in javascript. You need to explain what you do have, but on the available evidence, it seems more likely you need to repeat the class you're taking, or quit the job you have taken, you are in over your head, and not able to take any sort of advice.

Hi All, I have a asp.net web application and I need to write in a file which is located in the other place where this web application is not configured. The problem is that there is no any permission to write in the file . Would you please let me know how can I achieve this.

How can you do for which you don't have the permission to.

That is what I want to do. Is there any feature of .net such as Impersonation or passing the credential of that system to write in the file?

Dont ask twice.

Someone questioned this because it's plain retarded. No, you don't have any javascript on the server side. You may have variables on the server side which you then write to javascript, but if you do, tehn I'd assume a postback would automatically write the right values. Unless you're using AJAX, web sites are syncronous, a value can't change on the server while the client is looking at a page.
i think you need to explain better. A LOT better.

Take some HTML hidden controls .....put runat="server"
and when u update the variables put the values of variables in HTML hidden controls .

I think you have some variables at server side and you want these varaibles in clientside.You should use hidden variables as
<asp:hiddenfield id="test" runat="server" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
change this value at server side
and in Javascuipt
get clientid for this variable
as
var _hdnCtlSelectedItem = "<%=test.ClientID%>";
and access value like
var SelectedItemID = document.getElementById(_hdnCtlSelectedItem).value;

I think you want to access Server side variable from Client Side
if yes then Try
<%= ServerSidevariable %>

how to print a text file on client side?
Please give me some idea regarding this.
Thanks in advance.
|
|
|

You can't. If it's on the client side, you have no access to their file system. Unless IE lets you launch a window with a local URL. In that case, you could display it, but they would have to print it.

Funny thing is, it's not urgent to us at all. Please don't say this, it's kind of rude.
You can iterate over the Controls collection of the page ( you need to do this recursively ) and then find the controls that are buttons using the 'is' or 'as' keywords, and grab just their ids.
