I'm not sure whether that means you're disappointed in my initial response.

Well,the answer is obviously "NO" as you can't take the OS level control of client.
Why do you want to create folder on client machine?
Please provide your requirement.

Hello,
I'm pretty new to ASP.NET..
I'm creating Models using EF, and then creating controllers and views automatically, which is great.
What I want to achieve is that, I want unregistered users not to see create new/Delete/update links. Only admins should see those links and do those operations. How can I do that?
Thanks.

What you need is authentication service. To authenticate the users before they can continue to those actions (Create/Delete/Update), and let only Admin users to continue and perform them by visiting those web pages.
You would find yourself at ease at this web page: http://www.asp.net/identity[^] ASP.NET Identity is the service by ASP.NET that can be used to authenticate users.

how can i find iis manager in windows 8 .. i searched for (inetmgr) and in control panel .. and no result ??

Sounds like it's not installed. Try searching for "Turn Windows Features on or off", and look under "Internet Information Services" -> "Web Management Tools" -> "IIS Management Console".

You have to install the remote tools for Windows 8.1 (RSAT TOOLS)
But they only work with Server 2012.
I did mine last year. It was tricky to install. But I was running server cores on Server 2012, so I had to setup permissions using powerscript and cmd line.
They also had rsat tools for Server 2008, but you had to be running Windows 7.
This seems to be for IIS only, and seems universal. I haven't used them.

rsat tools - This I huse currently on Windows 8.1 and Server 2012. quite happy with them.

Hi!
I need to build a notification tool which sends the email right at the moment when a service portal gets new incident. For this I need to pick up email content from service portal, which can be static data as 'label data' or can be input data as 'text entered' or 'option selected' etc.
I'm willing to build this solution in .net C#. Please suggest me a convinient method through which I can get the email content.
Many Thanks in advance!!

Well you should write some code first to grab the data you want.
Then write some code to send the email, passing the data you gathered to the email message body.
And keep refining the code till your satisfied with it.
Speaking for myself, I have no clue what you want to send in your email.
|
|
|
|
|
If the data is coming in a table say "Table1", then create a trigger on the table to get the data and create the message and put the data in table "Table2". Build a Windows Service which monitors the "Table2" row with some status (say open). Take data and send the email and update the status of the row (say Close or sent).
Otherwise Please provide some more clarity on your question exactly what do you want to do?

help me i connection database but error ..plz help me .thank you
An error occurred while conecting to the database .The database might be unavailable .An exception of type 'Microsoft.Data.ConnectionUI.SqlDatabaseFileUpgradeRequiredException'.The error message is :'This database file is not compatible with the current instance of sql server
|
|
|
|
|
I believe you're not reading the exception. That exception is clear if you just break it down and then read it. Let me read it out for you, "Sql Database File Upgrade Required Exception".
Which means that your SQL file was created in a too older version of SQL Server database, you might need to run the application in a compatible version and upgrade it to a later one, or import the data from it using SQL Server Management Studio.

I have this Card Processing WSDL. I made a service reference and a web reference for the WSDL.
Long story short, I've only done WSDL once for FedEx, so this is new to me. The FedEx was cut and dry, just make a WEB Reference, and code to it.
This one, the First Data is much more complex. So I made a SERVICE Reference, and coded to it.
You have to generate a EndPoint Behavior, so you can calculate the HMAC data, and attach it to the SOAP request header. That part was fairly easy. I figured out how to call the service, but then I get this error
The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was ''.
OK I get it. With a Service Request, you sort of have to be in the same domain, perhaps a web server that runs IIS as well. Where as a WEB Request, you can go cross domain.
So my question is, is there a way to cheat the credentials, using the SERVICE Reference, and continue using this method, or use the WEB Reference, and create a new method of endpoint behavior.
Trouble with the first, is that I really don't want to hard code credentials.
Trouble with the latter, is that I have no clue on how to add a endpoint behavior to the WEB Reference.
What would you do?
Here's some code for to satisfy curiosity for SERVICE Reference
'Bind the transaction to the HMAC Header Behavior
Dim httpBinding As BasicHttpBinding = New BasicHttpBinding()
httpBinding.Security.Mode = SecurityMode.Transport
httpBinding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.Windows
httpBinding.Security.Message.ClientCredentialType = BasicHttpMessageCredentialType.UserName
httpBinding.Security.Message.AlgorithmSuite = ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAlgorithmSuite.Basic256
Dim ws = New firstData_v14.ServiceSoapClient(httpBinding, New EndpointAddress(m_endPoint_Url))
ws.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = New NetworkCredential("username", "password", "domain")
ws.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation
ws.ChannelFactory.Endpoint.Behaviors.Add(New HMAC_SR_Header_Behavior(m_key, m_keyID, m_endPoint_Uri))
'Transmit the Card Authorization Request
rxn = New firstData_v14.TransactionResult
rxn = ws.SendAndCommit(txn)
WEB Reference
'Bind the transaction to the HMAC Header Behavior
Dim ws = New com.firstdata.globalgatewaye4.V14.Service
'Transmit the Card Authorization Request
rxn = New com.firstdata.globalgatewaye4.V14.TransactionResult
rxn = ws.SendAndCommit(txn)

Looks like the Service Reference allow me to use the EXact_ID and EXact_Password to authenticate to the Cross Domain Service that runs on a Linux Server.
I'm not quite sure how to authenticate to this server, using the code below. I think I just have a few things wrong here.
I'm not sure if the BasicHttpBinding is my authentication method for credentials, or the channel factory.
'Bind the transaction to the HMAC Header Behavior
Dim httpBinding As BasicHttpBinding = New BasicHttpBinding()
httpBinding.Security.Mode = SecurityMode.Transport
httpBinding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.Basic
httpBinding.Security.Message.ClientCredentialType = BasicHttpMessageCredentialType.UserName
httpBinding.Security.Message.AlgorithmSuite = ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAlgorithmSuite.Basic256
Dim ws = New firstData_v14.ServiceSoapClient(httpBinding, New EndpointAddress(m_endPoint_Url))
ws.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = New NetworkCredential(sCA.Exact_ID, sCA.Exact_Password)
ws.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.None
ws.ChannelFactory.Credentials.UserName.UserName = sCA.Exact_ID
ws.ChannelFactory.Credentials.UserName.Password = sCA.Exact_Password
ws.ChannelFactory.Endpoint.Behaviors.Add(New HMAC_SR_Header_Behavior(m_key, m_keyID, m_endPoint_Uri))
'Transmit the Card Authorization Request
rxn = New firstData_v14.TransactionResult
rxn = ws.SendAndCommit(txn)
