Look, we all do this because we love to help. But I can't do your work. It is expected you will be doing most of the heavy lifting.
I asked you where is ID set and how is it set. You said you don't know. Well, what the hell do you want me to do then? I don't have an access to your source code. I am blindly debugging your code, heck you were suppose to debug your code in the first place. If you have slight idea of how to debug, you would not have run into this in the first place.
Now get your arse off that chair get a decent book and learn the fundamentals of programming, before asking such trivial questions.

I provided all the code that deals with this problem. I do know how to debug. There is no value getting passed to ID. We have already established that. My question is how to set ID. Not asking for a miracle. Just a bit of experience. You are here to help, and I am here to learn. I don't want you to do the work for me, just help to guide me in the right direction.

Look as long as you are willing to learn, people here will be more than happy to help you. I like the fact that you came back after my earlier post. But you need to understand that, if you don't have the fundamentals of the programming, you will find it very hard to get learn just by posting questions. You need to bring up yourself to speed by reading books.

well what else can I say?

You said that ID have a value of __Page. Where did that came from? Look all over the place where ID is used.
You can not simply set ID. You need to know what to set it to. I can't tell you what to set it to, because I have no freaking clue of your code.
Start with looking all the places where ID is used. then try to understand what is going on.

I had to go somewhere else to get help with this question.
I have the solution working.
Thanks

wow, it has been more than two months. Did you learn and solve the problem by yourself or you asked people to give you the solution?

Went to another forum that was willing to help. You are just trying to get a high number of posts.

I never cared for the number of posts or votes. Look at my posts, you have down voted them all Ones. I did not touch yours. You see the difference.
You Simply had no clue and asking people to do the job for you is unacceptable. You admitted not knowing web application, not knowing how to debug the code. So, tell me, how did you expect to do your job? I don't see any problem with not knowing, but you have no willingness to learn. Had you shown any willingness you would have seen the help that comes your way.
I challenge you, you knew nothing from what you have gotten from the other forums. If you learned something, you would have shared what you learned rather than stating, I solved it.

Hello.
I'm making a website with flash files with ASP.NET ver 2.0.
But I don't know how to attach the flash files(.swf) on the website.
Please let me know if anyone know that.
Or is there a sample of that I'm asking?
I tried to make that with using codes like this.
<embeded src="c:\\temp\\test.swf" .......=""></embeded>
But there is not happened what I want.
I appreciate if you could let me know.
Thanks.

My default.aspx page captures client IP/browser data for all users, then records to a sql table. I'm finding that there may be several records inserted per visit because I see 2~3 entries within a minute or so.
How do I ensure that cient IP is captured only once per session?
The default.aspx page has no post-back controls or AJAX calls.
Thanks for any direction,
Mort

There are other things that can call the page, Request.Redirect() for example.
How many places are you capturing client IP. add more debugging code and see what is triggering multiple db entry.

I capture ip/browser data using the index page only and code is presently in Page_Load. I've narrowed the problem to users just traversng the site then navigating back to the index page. It was suggested to populate a session variable and will try that.

you could use a cookie that expires in a short time, to remember that this ip was already on your page
but there sure better ways

This makes sense becasue i only want to capture browser/ip info once per user session. I'll need to find the timeout setting so that returning visitors say, 24hrs later will be again recorded.

each time the pge refreshes, it will hit the code unless you place it in
if (!IsPostBack)
{
... logging code ...

Look, do yourself a favour. you can not learn by posting question after question. Pick up a book and read and learn. Then if you encounter specific issue, post the question in an approprate forum.
