It's a commercial package, so you either have to buy it or fully code it yourself. They have no API available it seems which you can hook in to. Else you have to built it yourself and hook into the API's from these social sites yourselves and write interfaces for them. Most likely you can find several examples for those here on codeproject (and other websites).

The web is stateless. You'll need to persist the populated HashTable between postbacks. Depending on your needs, be they per user or genuinely per web application instance. Look into using the Web Application Cache, the current Session, and the ViewState for the page.

Hello,
I need some advices please.
I'm trying to build a website for real estate listing. now the data would look like a datagrid. and while clicking on a row, it should open under it the dynamic data related to the specific row. (like an AJAX accordion).
I will try to explain myself in a better way. this website for example ( ignore the language, couldnt find any better example LOL)
http://www.yad2.co.il/Nadlan/rent.php
Now, i've been told that this works by using "Dynamic Div Creation" which i have no idea how it should work this way. Is it possible to make it work by using an Accordion inside a datagrid? or what?!!
If anybody can advice me or give me a sample code of doing such a thing i would be REALLY grateful.

The accordion control is just a container, a div, for your controls so yes you can have anything you'd like there. Handle the client side click of the datagrid and make an ajax query for the data, populate the controls as necessary and expand the accordion.

Hi Mark,
i've reached this point, which is close but not what i want
The JS code is :
<script type="text/javascript">
function toggleDivVisibility(id)
{
var divcontrol = document.getElementById(id);
if (divcontrol.style.display == 'block')
divcontrol.style.display = 'none';
else
divcontrol.style.display = 'block';
}
</script>
And Inside the ItemTemplate of the GridView, there is this code:
< ItemTemplate >
< a onclick = 'return void(0);' href="<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container,"RowIndex","javascript:toggleDivVisibility('Div{0}')") %>">
More..</a>
<div id='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container,"RowIndex","Div{0}") %>' style="width: 112px; display: none; border-right: white 1px solid; border-top: white 1px solid; border-left: white 1px solid; border-bottom: white 1px solid;overflow:auto">
< /div >
This really does open a Div but the problem is that it opens it under the ItemTemplate(column) and not under the ROW.
any ideas?
Thanks

Is there on codeproject or other introductory articles on technical issues in ASP.NET web application development and deployment with MS SQL express 2005/2008? like db creation and attachment to application with connection strings for SQL authorization, setting folders security to access it with SQL authorization from web application and finally deployment from setup?

The DB engine is actually doing a great job of protecting you. What are you going to do with 90,000+ records on a web page ? It would be impossible for someone to browse that much data.
Change your logic to retrieve "blocks" of data, say 100 records or so. You will need to break the data down into "pages" of data where the user could click on a control and retrieve the next grouping of data. For example you could provide a A through Z filter on the top of the page, the user clicks "M" and you would retrieve the first 100 people with the last name beginning with M. The "Next" button would then fetch the next 100 people with the name beginning with M and so on ...
90,000 records is way too much data to display in a single query.
Good luck.

Actually that table's name is Tblvisitor, I want to get some more info about my visitors so i display that data in web page (100/page) before it is about 50000 i can display them. but now it is about 100000 so i got error.
Yes, your idea is good, now i display only data from 80000 and hide data from 1 to 79999 so it is working again.
However thank you!!!
good luck.

I made a copy of our company website to a new server, planning to create a test environment. Both servers run IIS 6, and both are configured the same (except for where the configuration gives a server name.) All folders have the same permissions.
I cannot get the user authenticated.
As a last resort, I have this on a test login page:
Protected Sub LoginButton_Click(ByVal sender as Object, ByVal e as EventArgs)
If Membership.ValidateUser(MyUser, MyPassword) Then
FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(MyUser, False)
Response.Redirect("Login2.aspx")
Else
Feedback.Text="User not validated"
End If
End Sub
The second page has this code:
Protected Sub Page_PreRender(ByVal sender as Object, ByVal e as EventArgs)
If User.Identity.IsAuthenticated Then
Feedback.Text = "User was authenticated"
Else
If User.Identity.Name = "" Then
Feedback.Text = "No user found"
Else
Feedback.Text = "Not authenticated: " + User.Identity.Name
End If
End If
End Sub
When I run this on the live server, it acts as expected: clicking the button transfers to Login2.aspx , and the literal on the page shows User was authenticated. Running this on the test server will transfer the page (meaning that the user is being validated) but show No user found, meaning that the user was not authenticated and there was no valid identity.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I would rather not be mucking around with the live website that brands my company.

Did you also transfer the authentication database?

I didn't move the authentication database; both the old and new sites use the same connection string. The fact that Membership.ValidateUser is validating the user would seem to show that it is not a database problem.
Again, the issue seems to be that the authentication cookie for the test site is not being persisted.
