Hi All,
In a batch file which runs few Windows Services in intranet env there is some thing like this
"set ssimpath=%~dp0..\..\Deployment\B2B_WapSvr\C\Program Files\FTG\B2B\WindowsServices\Score". Can anybody let me whats the meaning of it. Means whats the value that is set to ssimpath variable.
Actually what is the meaning of %~dp0, is this realted to Win NT OS or is it related to XP. My local machine has XP in which couple of applications exist.
But may be the B2B_WapSvr is a Win NT server. So please advice me on this regard.
Thanks & Regards,

AFAIK, %~dp0 does not have a meaning in Windows; would be specific to the application that is reading the variable called 'ssimpath'.

guys;
In Microsoft Ajax we define an Enum like:
AjaxServerControl1.Priority = function() {}
AjaxServerControl1.Priority.prototype = {
RealTime: 6,
High: 5,
AboveNormal: 4,
Normal: 3,
BelowNormal: 2,
Low: 1
}
AjaxServerControl1.Priority.registerEnum('AjaxServerControl1.Priority');
now how to get the string denoting a value e.i. Priority.High.ToString()
Help people,so poeple can help you.

Learn HTML. /troll
You could at least post the code with the link in it or the relevant page request.

This is a perfectly reasonable newbie question. Posting the code won't help either: it just isn't relevant here.

You can use iframe, master page, etc. if you don't want to use coding.
Otherwise you can use url routing code in ASP.NET.
You can find it's coding on msdn

If B.aspx is always the page you want to display for http://homepage.com then google for "Set Default Pages in IIS", you can also set this in your web.config. You could also rename "b.aspx" to one of the existing defaults such as "default.aspx" See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1913058/set-default-page-in-asp-net[^]
If you are worried about neater URLs generally you could consider ASP.NET MVC3, but there is a learning curve. Another answer would be to write an HttpHandler to map a clean URL to the actual page, but this will get unweildy and might be a little technically complicated, so MVC3 might be a better option.

do the url re-write to hide anything.

If you can, I recommend using a MultiView instead of multiple pages. Depends on what exactly you are trying to accomplish though (e.g., you didn't say whether or not the button will also reside on homepage.com).

In what context? Trying to access another resource (like SQL server) and pass through the login?
If so, Google "IIS double hop" and see what the prob is and how to fix it.

That is an excellent subject line.
I suggest you type it in the Google search box and read the first few articles you will get.

I do:
<asp:CheckBoxList ID="CheckBoxList1" runat="server">
<asp:ListItem Text="Vietnam" Value="VietName"></asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem Text="China" Value="China"></asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem Text="India <hr />" Value="India"></asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem Text="France" Value="France"></asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem Text="United Kingdom" Value="United Kingdom"></asp:ListItem>
</asp:CheckBoxList>
Thanks

I don't know. however in WinForms, when you add a MenuItem with text "-" to a Menu it gets shown as a dotted horizontal line; maybe the same works for a CheckBoxList.

I just registered an account with Arvixe.
I'm deploying "my websites"!
There is a little web app at the root not doinf much, and then I have sub(virtual)directories web app for blogging.
when I navigate to the deployed blog I got an error. can load some DLL.
the problem is...
it is obviously reading the root's web config!
why is that? is it normal or a bug?
my deployment at the moment is like that
(root)\
.. some files ..
Web.config
(VirtualDir) blog\
Web.config
http://domain/blog/robots.txt return the right file
http://domain/blog/default.aspx complains of an error in (root)\Web.config. ie http://domain/web.config...
is that normal? any comments?

few weeks ago i was learning from this article
Dynamically add and remove user controls[^]
this article is great but its work with except when try to remove the user control i want to remove this part of code
public void HandleRemoveUserControl(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Button but = sender as Button;
WebUserControl DynamicUserControl = (WebUserControl)but.Parent;
ph1.Controls.Remove(DynamicUserControl);
ltlRemoved.Text += DynamicUserControl.ID + "|";
ltlCount.Text = (Convert.ToInt16(ltlCount.Text) - 1).ToString();
}
this is the code in C# , but the original exercise was in VB , am idiot in VB , did i convert it wrong , and if someone can help me and tell me how we write C# code to determine wich user control fired event
this is the original one in VB
Sub HandleRemoveUserControl(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs)
'This handles delete event fired from the user control
'Get the user control that fired this event, and remove it
Dim DynamicUserControl As WebUserControl = sender.parent
ph1.Controls.Remove(sender.parent)
'Keep a pipe delimited list of which user controls
'were removed. This will increase the
'viewstate size if the user keeps removing
'dynamic controls, but under normal use
'this is such a small increase in size that it shouldn't be an issue.
ltlRemoved.Text &= DynamicUserControl.ID & "|"
'Also, now that we've removed a user control decrement
'the count of total user controls on the page
ltlCount.Text = Convert.ToInt16(ltlCount.Text) - 1
End Sub
