Hi All,
Do learning java and python side by side is wise???

Simple answer: Depends on you.

This is a very subjective questions. As nobody knows the circumstances you're in.

  • If you think you need both in the near future -> Sure
  • You just want to add 2 new languages to your resumé? -> Sure
  • You are capable of learning 2 new programming languages at the same time -> Sure

However, you'll probably not have such a deep understanding of the language as if you'd learn them one by one, digging into the special features offered by each respective languange.

I took it as serious and i working on it to rectify, so that i use to practice python at my company and java at my home.. Now all i wanted to know is am i going in correct path?? else to learn both languages what more effort should i take??

I'm sure it's a good idea to learn more languages. I guess one advantage when learning 2 languages at once is. You can compare the functionality while learning how to use them. So you can get a better view which language is best in a certain case. Yet I think as soon as it goes into the deeper levels of the languages there are features you can't really compare. Besides, if you can use Python at your company this a good opportunity to learn another language at home ;)

You're welcome. But it's only my opinion and experiences I have thus far ;)
