hey guys,

my dad and i have been trying to find the mac address of the printer we just bought. can you guys please help? the type is a Canon MG5300

i hope you can help!

Without having your specific printer to hand, it isn't easy - it will either be available via a menu on the printer itself, or locatable once you have installed the driver software.

However, there may be another way. If you connect your browser to your router then you may be able to find out that way:
For Netgear routers enter "192.168.0.1" into your browser address bar, and then login when prompted (the default ID / password combo is "admin"/"password"). If you look under "Maintenance"..."Attached Devices" you should see the printer listed with it's MAC address.
Other routers will generally do the same but may require a different IP address, login and menu.

i already have the solution. you go into the settings/lan settings/print lan settings and it prints all of the settings including the Mac Address.
