When BMP image is very large image (1700 x 1700), PixelFormat becomes 0.

Interesting and good to know. In what cases? Could you build and post the possibly simplest demo code which would show this problem? As to the image, just tell the format and size which would cause it.

What size is a very large image ?

A little google search gave this. Hope it can help.

The image is a bmp. Created by gimp 2.6. the size is: 17000x17000 pixels

The problem is solved by parser the bmp myself.
