Solution 1

It depends. If the member has it enabled - and not all do - then if you look at any forum message (not Quick Answers) then there will be an "Email" option at the bottom, next to "Reply". This send a private message to them, adding with your email for a reply.

Be aware that many people may not reply privately as they do not wish to expose their private email address to strangers.
